To become a lumberjack you will need to craft a lumberjack axe first, this special tool is requiered to cutdown trees you will also need a saw to cut the branches and collect wood.
Wood can be used to craft furniture and trainers.

Crafting a Lumberjack Axe
Meet Obi NPC near the Academy and ask him about a Lumberjack Axe. It costs 400 gold and 10 iron ore which can be obtained by using ore wagons at the mines, mining or defeating certain enemies.
This special tool is necesary to cut down trees.
Buying a Saw
Meet Al Dee NPC west from the Academy and ask him for trade. This merchant sells saw for 25 gold which is necesary to make wood from branches.
How to use a Lumberjack Axe
To cutdown trees simply use the Lumberjack Axe in any kind of tree. It may requiere several tries to successfully cutdown a tree.
Watch Out! Some critters sleeps on the tree tops so be ready for battle!
How to use a Saw
Once you have successfully cut down a tree, simply use a saw in the branches to get wood.
Trading Big Stock of Wood
Every Saturday you can meet Walton NPC outside of the northern village walls. He will trade 10 pieces of wood for 1000 gold! You can also trade 100 pieces of wood for 1 Tibia Coin.
Wood is quite heavy, every 100 stock of wood weighs over 500.00 oz. so be prepared for a heavy trip.
