At Rookgaard Tales, we are committed to maintaining optimal server performance and database efficiency to provide the best gaming experience for our active community. As part of this commitment, we have implemented an automated account cleanup system.
Server Performance Optimization
Our server performs automatic character saves every 5 minutes to prevent significant data loss in case of unexpected crashes or rollbacks. However, with a large database, these saves could take several seconds to complete, causing noticeable lag spikes for players.
By implementing our intelligent cleanup system, we have optimized database performance so that saves now complete in under one second, ensuring smooth gameplay without interruption.
Inactivity-Based Account Deletion
To optimize our hosting resources and maintain server performance, accounts that remain inactive for extended periods are automatically deleted from our database. This policy helps us manage our hosting infrastructure efficiently while focusing resources on active players.
Note: We proudly host our services along with Tibia Tales, and this cleanup system allows us to optimize our resource allocation even further.
Deletion Schedule by Character Level
The cleanup system follows these rules based on character level and inactivity period:

| Level 400-499 | 1460 days (4 years) | Character deletion |
| Level 500 and above | Never | Permanent preservation |
Important Notes
1. "Inactivity" is measured by your character's last login date recorded in our database.
2. Once an account is deleted, all associated data including items, houses, depot contents, and premium time is permanently removed and cannot be recovered.
3. To maintain your account, simply log in at least once within the time frame specified for your character's level.
