This is a guide to introduce players into the Crafting System of Rookgaard Tales. The Crafting system enables to refine each piece of equipment into upgraded materials to obtain the most powerful equipment of the game.
Using a giantsmith hammer in equipment or weapons may disassemble pieces into Ceratanium a valuable material in Tibia which can be refined into Mythril and Mythril into Dark Matter and Dark Matter into Pure Energy. Dark Matter and Pure Energy can be exchanged for Tibia Coins at the dephts of the dungeons in the Dark World.
To refine materials from equipment pieces you will need a giantsmith hammer which is a possible reward from Coltrayne NPC.
Walk the path from the Old Mine Potion Store as shown in the image until you see an old shack. You may find everyday an NPC named Coltrayne, a blacksmith from a faraway land specialized in material refinement. Ask him for a "quest" or "mission" to start.
Coltrayne is looking for an extremely cold icicle to temper a special kind of iron that needs to be extremely cold first to work with. He will "mark" your map with the posible respawn locations if you ask him so, your task is to use the Ice Pick given by Coltrayne in the Icicle to get an Icicle piece. You must hurry back to Coltrayne to deliver it. This Quest can be reapeated everyday.
To disassemble equipment pieces a fire bug and 3 iron ore are requiered, you can obtain the fire bug from Al Dee NPC at the village and iron ore from mining stones with a regular pick.
Almost every piece of equipment or weapon can be disassembled into Ceratanium a valuable material that can be refined into Mythril if you obtain 100. 10 pieces of Mythril can be refined into Dark Matter. 2 pieces of Dark Matter can be refined into Pure Energy.
You can refine Ceratanium with NPC Duro, you may locate him just west from the entrace of the old mine as shown in the map. Use the keyword "refine" to attempt to refine 100 Ceratanium into 1 Mythril. It costs 500,000 gold. There is a chance the process fails so you may use a lot of Ceratanium before you can refine a Mythril.
NPC Duro can also disassemble equipmient or weapon pieces for you for 500 gold if you do not own a giant smithhammer. A trade window will display the available options, then just select which piece you wish to disassemble.
Locate Nebuchadnezzar NPC the blacksmith, at the Draagkoor Village in the Dark World then ask about "refine". Refining 10 Mythril into a Dark Matter. It costs 25,000,000 gold to refine Dark Matter.
You can also use the "forge" for 1,000,000 gold. Which allows you to transfrom Dark Matter into any Soul Set piece for level 100 which includes boosts like enhanced stats or permanent imbuements in your weapons such as life and mana leech. This special soul set can be used by any vocation.
Dark Matter is the rarest material in the universe of Tibia. Some brave adventurers claim meeting a Fearie with the power to purify Dark Matter into Pure Energy. The usage of pure energy is still a mistery but some says it's made in the edge of creation with absolute virtue from the Gods of Tibia.
Her pond of whishes lies in a pyramid tomb of the Dark World. Maybe if you get lucky and throw some money into her pond she will show up.
Players can disassemble starter equipment for iridium at early game with Hewg the blacksmith at the village. You can locate him easily under Lee'Delle's shop at the western side of the village.
Iridium, Ceratanium, Mythril and Dark Matter can be used for enhance equipment, for more information please refer to our Enhance Equipment Guide.
There are dungeons in the Dark World where you are only allowed to enter only with a Dark Blessing. A dark blessing can be purchased in the Dark World temple for 10,000 gold coins.
If you are lucky you can meet in those dungeons a brave adventurer Nando NPC which can exchange those valuable materials for Tibia Coins. Dying on these dungeons means the instant loss of all of your equipment so think twice before entering a Dark Dungeon.
